| Cockpit Open Day Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Saturday 11th October 2003 |
F.A.S.T. | |
CANCELLED Ladies and Gentlemen, we have been invited to Farnborough to display our cockpits on the above date. We have listened to the comments of club members regarding events being located in the north of the country, and have accepted the request from Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST) to display as many cockpits as possible down south at their Farnborough site. Location: The FAST Museum is situated in Trenchard House, 85 Farnborough Road, on the A325, adjacent to the old RAE South Gate.
Aircraft already on-site at Farnborough Air Sciences:
Buccaneer S.2B, Canberra B(I).6 nose, Hunter F.51, Buccaneer nose, Hunter T.7 This is a wonderful opportunity to display our cockpits in the birthplace of British Aviation, at such a time of year where, with no airshows to compete with, people will want to round their year off by getting up-close and personal with some real pieces of aviation history. Please contact me as soon as possible if you can/cannot attend this event. Cockpits do not have to be complete or show stoppers , as this event will be run yearly, visitors will see work in progress and that we do not start with shiny aircraft, but hard work and effort go into making them eventually look good. Please, let us all make a concerted effort to make this event a success, as we always try to. In my absence (on holiday from 2nd August 2003 to 15th August 2003) please forward responses through the ICC website - see the e-mail page for address. My best regards to you all as always. Derek G |
