Now fitted out as a fully interactive flight-simulator, the aircraft is utilised by local schools (free of charge) and the public as an aid to learning about flying and aviation in general. Theres no charge for coming onboard to have a look around. We are open every weekend from 10:00 to 4pm and midweek by appointment. This event is a fund-raiser and all proceeds are going to the Jetstream Club and other local charities. The Jetstream Club was registered with the Charity Commission in November 2004. Registration No 1106293. |
AVIATION FAIR |
Part of the Fair is being held inside the hotel in the Aerial Suite, which used to be the International departure lounge of Liverpool Speke airport. Traders/Exhibitors (aviation related goods only) may book table spaces for £10 x 8ft or £15 for 12ft. If you require a larger space this may be accommodated subject to availability. Space is limited and we will operate on a first come basis. Outside on the aircraft apron there will be other attractions, many of which are still to be finalised. It is hoped to give everyone a very entertaining and interesting experience. |
COCKPIT MEET |
This will be the first of what is hoped to become an annual event here at Liverpool. It is being held on the actual aircraft apron of the former airport site. The site is home to our very own Jetstream 41, which will be open on the day. If you have a cockpit and would like to display it at this event, then please come along and support us. It doesnt matter whether your cockpit is complete or work in progress. All are welcome. This Meet is an opportunity for you to be in at the very beginning and get involved in what we hope will be an important part of the annual aviation calendar for the Northwest of England and North Wales area. Will you be able to say in the future "I was at the FIRST Liverpool Cockpit Meet"? |
There is no charge for enthusiasts displaying cockpits. You may arrive from 07:00 on the Sunday or the previous evening by appointment if you are staying at the hotel on the Saturday night. Electricity may be available for those cockpits that require it. We also hope to be able to award some prizes for the best cockpits. |
